Woodbury Library Coronavirus Response Updates and Resources  [updated Sept. 17, 2020]

Reservations to visit the library

Aug. 24th:  The libraries in Burbank and San Diego are open for you to visit!

Reservations are required in order to limit the number of people and provide for adequate social distancing.
Reservations for library visits are available for 30 minutes up to a maximum of 2 hours;
please book all appointments in half hour increments (for example, if you need to book a two-hour appointment, please book four consecutive half-hour appointments). Thank you for your help.

In Burbank, visits are limited to the Library Main Space and the Enkeboll courtyard.  The loft and annex remain closed.

Contactless pickup

Beginning Monday, August 10,  the WU Library in Burbank will offer contactless pickup of library materials during library open hours

TO REQUEST ITEMS FOR PICKUP:

  1. Search for the item you need in the WU Library catalog.
  2. Click on the title.
  3. Scroll down and click on the “Place Hold” button.
  4. You will be prompted to log into your WU Library account.
  5. Fill out the brief form and click the “Submit” button.
  6. Once you receive email confirmation that your item is available for pickup, use the reservation system to schedule a time for contact-less pickup.
  7. Please arrive on campus promptly for your appointment. When a staff member meets you at the front door, present your ID and let them know you are there to pick up.
  8. The staff member will retrieve the books, check them out to you, then place them on the table in front of the library. Once they are back inside the building, you may take the items.

 

Interlibrary Loan requests for physical and digital items should be submitted as normal. Once your materials arrive a staff member will contact you to set up an appointment for pickup.

Reserve requests should be submitted as usual.

Remote Services and Contingency Plans for Users

You may return borrowed materials to the library's outside book return box.  We will quarantine returned materials for a minimum of 7 days before checking them in.  Please contact us if you are not able to visit campus to return materails.

NO LATE FEES will be assessed until we return to normal operations.
