What technology is available at the library?

Both library locations offer technology to use in the library, and some equipment available to check out. Equipment to check out may be requested at the Circulation Desk. A current Woodbury ID is required to check out equipment and is available to faculty, staff and students only.

Burbank Technology & Equipment

Technology for in-library use includes:

  • iMac and PC desktop computers located in the main space and in room LA106
  • Two photocopiers with scanners
  • Flatbed scanner
  • Light table for tracing

In addition, the following equipment is available for checkout:

  • Laptops (Windows)
  • Adapters (Mac-DVI, Mac-mini VGA, USB wall chargers for phones)
  • Button maker (small fee charged per-button made to cover supplies)
  • Chargers (Micro-USB, Apple devices)
  • Video/image projection equipment:
    • Multimedia and overhead projectors
    • Document cameras
    • DVD/VHS players with remote
    • Screens for projecting
    • Tripod for cameras
    • Slide projectors and carousel
  • Audio equipment:
    • Mini speakers
    • Large speakers with stands
    • Microphones with stands and cables
    • Mixer sound board with cord
  • Equipment cart
  • Extension cords

Reservations for checking out audiovisual equipment are still strongly recommended.

The library is the holding area for AV equipment that can be checked out for short term usage. Should you need help with setting up the equipment, or you would like a tutorial on how to use it properly, please contact the IT helpdesk (x5295).

Equipment can be checked out for the length of a class session or university event.

Faculty and staff may contact .

Faculty can make arrangements to return the equipment to the library after closing, within reason. Students and staff must return equipment before the library closes. Please talk to the library staff when checking out the equipment.
