It may take a little more time researching scholarship opportunities, however they are out there! Some scholarships are specifically for international students, however others don't care where a student is from or where they are studying (essentially a global scholarship). This is why it's so important to take the time to search and really read all eligibility guidelines. Several of the websites listed in the "Scholarship/Grant Search" box below have filters to limit your results to international scholarships.

Using the criteria you brainstormed in Step 1 (what qualities describe YOU that can lead to an organization) you can search in Google to find funding opportunities. Make sure to read our "Avoid Scams" page as you search in Google to ensure you are not paying for services or providing personal information to the wrong people.
When using Google to search for opportunities, I would recommend rather than just searching for the word "scholarships" or "grants," use your demographic information, interests, hobbies, major, etc. to search for organizations (companies, non-profits, religious organizations, legal guardian's workplace, etc.) and see if they offer funding opportunities.

For ALL opportunities you come across, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO REQUIREMENTS! Some are school-specific, county-specific, etc. Do not waste your time applying to scholarships that you do not qualify for.
