Woodbury contract renewal template: 1 & 2 - cover letter & c.v.

one way you might set up your contract renewal application

cover letter

Requirement per the faculty handbook:

A cover letter requesting contract renewal and specifying the type of contract for which the applicant is eligible to apply.

EXAMPLE: I am writing to apply for a (blank)-year appointment for AY (relevant period). Please accept my contract renewal application.

The text of your cover letter should easily fit in this box. Or you can link to a separate document.

If you are cutting and pasting your cover letter from MS Word, make sure to first click on the clipboard with the W Word icon on it in the edit window.  Do not paste into this box directly from Word or the formatting will be weird.

If you'd prefer to upload your cover letter as a Word or PDF file instead, use the link below to upload a new document.

c.v.

Requirement per the faculty handbook:

An updated copy of the candidate’s curriculum vitae.

The c.v. is different from a resumé.  The c.v. has an academic focus, and is longer and more detailed.  "A Curriculum Vitae includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details."  Include courses taught and university service. Differentiate achievements covered since your last reappointment.

The c.v. generally follows this format:

   Name and Address
   Education
Fellowships and Awards (Faculty Development Grants)
   Teaching Experience (courses taught)
   Research Experience
Publications and Presentations (indicate if peer-reviewed)
   Creative Works
   Works in Progress
   Service - University and School
   Related Professional Experience
   Professional Affiliations
   Licenses and certifications

Please attach your c.v. here as a document (PDF)
