Borrowing and Renewal: Borrow & Renew

Overview

Members of the Woodbury University community have full borrowing privileges at Woodbury University Library in Burbank and San Diego.  These privileges are free to Woodbury University faculty, staff and currently enrolled students.

Your Woodbury University ID serves as your library card.  To borrow items from the Woodbury University Library, present the item(s) and your library card at the Circulation Desk.  In order to protect you and our materials, no other form of ID will be accepted.

Want your books for longer? You can renew your materials online or in person.

Borrowing FAQ

Exceptions

Borrowers are responsible for returning library materials on time and in good condition.  As a courtesy, the library will attempt to send at least 3 notices to remind you of materials that are overdue.  Overdue notices will be sent via email after the due date.  Paper notices will be sent to those who do not have current email addresses in our system.

Overdue fines are assessed for materials that are returned after the due date.  The amount of the fine is calculated when material is returned.

Exceptions

Borrowers who have long overdue items will be billed for 1) the cost of buying a new copy, 2) a $50.00 processing fee, and 3) the overdue fines that may have accrued. The library will send three overdue notices before this occurs as a courtesy.

If the item is found and returned within one year, and before a replacement has been ordered, the item’s replacement cost will be refunded.  The processing fee and overdue fines are not refundable.

Please speak with a Circulation Supervisor if you feel that a fine has been unjustly assessed.

You can renew your library materials by going here or clicking on the 'My Library Account' button on the right. Once you sign in, click again on 'My library account' in the top right; you will see a list of books you have, overdue fees, and options to renew materials.
