Contactless pickup

Hours for contactless pickup

The WU Library in Burbank offers contactless, curbside pickup of library materials between 10am and 5pm, Tues. through Thurs.  The library buildings will continue to be closed to the campus community.

TO REQUEST ITEMS FOR PICKUP:

  1. Search for the item you need in the WU Library catalog.
  2. Click on the title.
  3. Scroll down and click on the “Place Hold” button.
  4. You will be prompted to log into your WU Library account.
  5. Fill out the brief form and click the “Submit” button.
  6. Once we retrieve the item for you, you’ll receive an email directing you to fill out a brief form so that you can set up a time for a contactless, curbside pickup. (Requests submitted on Friday will be answered on Monday.)
  7. Please arrive on campus promptly for your appointment and approach the table in front of the library, where your items will be waiting.
  8. At your appointment time a library staff member will meet you behind the glass at the front of the library. Present your library card, and once the staff member has confirmed, you may take your items.

    NOTE: IN ORDER TO PICK UP YOUR ITEM(S) YOU WILL NEED TO PRESENT PROOF OF A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST TAKEN IN THE PRIOR TWO WEEKS.

Interlibrary Loan requests for physical and digital items should be submitted as normal. Once your materials arrive a staff member will contact you to set up an appointment for pickup.

Reserve requests should be submitted as usual.

STUDENTS:

  1. Search for the item you need in the WU Library catalog - make sure to select San Diego on the left side of the results page.
  2. Click on the title.
  3. Scroll down and click on the “Place Hold” button.
  4. You will be prompted to log into your WU Library account. (same as Moodle)
  5. Fill out the brief form and click the “Submit” button.
  6. Once we retrieve the item for you, you’ll receive an email directing you to fill out a brief form so that you can set up a time for a contactless pickup. Books will be wrapped and ready to pickup at the sign-in table.
  7. Return all items in the gray box at the table

You may return borrowed materials to the library’s outside book return box. We will quarantine returned materials for a minimum of 7 days before checking them in.

NO LATE FEES will be assessed until we return to normal operations.
