Keeping up with and browsing Electronic Journals
Experiencing information overload? Can't keep track of all of your favorite journals? Using RSS Feeds and email alerts can help. We'll explain RSS feeds and email alert services and demonstrate how to set them up from your preferred databases, journals, and web sites. You’ll see how to save time by having the latest articles in your research area delivered to you automatically. You can also set up alerts to notify you when a certain article or author has been cited or even to receive the latest sports scores and hometown news. By the end of this workshop, you will have set up your own RSS feed reader, subscribed to various types of sources, and learned how to use new technologies to organize the increasing flow of scholarly communication
